In exploring what brokers look for when selecting a schemes provider, our annual schemes survey found that quality of relationship was an important consideration. 79% of brokers voted this as their third most important consideration. 

To understand more about it's importance we spoke to Stephen Ekins, our Business Development director who has over 30+ years in the industry. He offered the following advice.

“The quality of the relationship isn’t about where you’re based, or what events you get invited to (we do like those occasionally though!), it runs much deeper than that.

 A successful professional relationship is about building trust and a good personal rapport. It’s essential to trust your first point of contact to find the answers to your queries, and get to the root cause of any problems. When you’re building the foundations of a successful relationship make sure you have confidence and belief in your insurer. As in any relationship, trust is crucial.”
