Over the next few weeks, we’ll let you step inside our office, stopping off at some familiar faces along the way. You’ll get to meet the real UKG family who all contribute towards making us an award winning MGA.

We sent 10 quick fire questions across the company and certainly received some interesting responses! Through some tough decision making, we selected 6 of the most entertaining answers. We hope you enjoy them!

In the first instalment of our ‘Getting to know UK General’ series, we grabbed a coffee with Amy Wright, business development support executive. Amy has been with the business since 2012 where she began her UKG career as a reception apprentice.

Through hard work and dedication, Amy went on to complete her Customer Service NVQ Level 2 and Business Administration NVQ Level 2 and 3 within 3 years. Within that time she has progressed up the ranks and is now a pivotal member of the sales team.

We caught up with her to understand a little bit more about what she gets up to outside of work.

  1. As a child, what did you want to be when you were grown up?
A vet. Ahh, animals – cute!
  2. What’s your pet hate?
Rudeness. As they say, manners don’t cost anything!
  3. What was the last thing you Googled?
How to make a raspberry mojito!
  4. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Anywhere hot where the sun constantly shines, except Australia. Because of the spiders.
  5. What are you renowned for in the office?
Singing (unfortunately for everyone around me…).
  6. If a Hollywood star had to play you in a movie, who would it be and why?
Probably Jennifer Lawrence because she’s as clumsy as I am.
  7. What was the last spontaneous thing you did?
Agreed to do a sky dive!! (Amy has since done it and we’re pleased to say she’s all ok!)
  8. What was the last song that was stuck in your head?
This is the hardest question ever as it changes from one minute to the next, I’ve currently got a collaboration of ‘If you like pina coladas’ and ‘Friday' (yes that Rebecca Black song) in my head.
  9. What’s your hidden talent?
The ability to turn any sentence into a song. And change the words if I feel like it. Other than that I’m pretty talentless!
  10. What do you consider to be your greatest professional achievement?
I’m still very early on in my career so it’s hard to say, but probably when I won ‘most helpful employee of the year’ award a couple of years ago. I am extremely proud to have won that!
